Terms of Service
Effective October 11, 2026
The short version: Questionly is a study tool. Use it to practice, not to cheat. AI answers can be wrong, so double-check anything important. Every plan, including Premium, has daily limits so the service stays fast and affordable for everyone. You can cancel Premium at any time.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Questionly ("we", "us"). By using Questionly, with or without an account, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Questionly.
2. Who can use Questionly
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Questionly or create an account.
- If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf, and you need their permission to buy Premium.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. One person per account.
3. AI-generated content can be wrong
Questionly uses artificial intelligence to create problems, solutions, explanations, answer checks and homework scans. AI can make mistakes, including wrong answers, wrong steps or misread photos.
- Treat Questionly as a practice aid, not as an authority. Check important results with your teacher, textbook or another reliable source.
- Questionly is not a substitute for instruction from a qualified teacher or tutor.
- We are not responsible for grades, test results or other outcomes based on Questionly content.
4. Academic honesty
Questionly is built to help you practice and understand. You are responsible for following your school's rules. Don't use Questionly to complete graded work, tests or exams where outside help isn't allowed.
5. Plans, daily limits and fair use
Limits reset once a day. Premium includes unlimited generated problems and answer checks. Homework scans and problem sets cost more to run, so they have daily limits on every plan, set high enough for real studying. All Premium use is subject to the fair-use rules below.
| Guest | Free account | Premium | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Generated problems per day | 3 | 5 | Unlimited |
| Answer checks per day | 3 | 5 | Unlimited |
| Homework scans per day | Not available | 5 credits | 20 |
| Problem sets per day | Not available | Not available | 15 |
- On a free account, a successful scan uses 2credits and an image we can't use (no problem, several problems, or unreadable) uses 1.
- Scans are also limited to 5 per minute on every plan.
- Fair use."Unlimited" means unlimited for normal studying by one person. Premium is for one person's own studying. Sharing an account, reselling access, or using scripts, bots or other automated tools is not allowed. We may slow down, limit or suspend accounts that do this.
- We may change these limits. If we lower Premium limits, we'll show the new limits here and in the app before they apply to your next billing period.
6. Premium payments and cancelling
- Premium is a subscription billed through our payment processor, Stripe. The price is shown at checkout before you pay.
- Your subscription renews automatically each billing period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from the Account section of the app. Cancelling ends Premium right away, and you won't be charged again.
- Payments are generally non-refundable, including for the unused part of a billing period, except where the law requires a refund. If something went wrong with a charge, email us and we'll look into it.
7. What you upload
You keep ownership of the photos, PDFs, answers and other content you submit. You give us permission to process that content to provide Questionly, including sending it to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy. Only upload content you have the right to share, and don't upload other people's personal information.
8. Things you can't do
- Break the law or use Questionly to harm, harass or deceive anyone.
- Try to get around plan limits, payments or security, or access other people's accounts or data.
- Overload, attack, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
- Upload harmful, illegal or inappropriate content, or content unrelated to studying.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the Account section of the app. This also cancels any Premium subscription. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
10. Disclaimers and limits on liability
Questionly is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise the service will be error-free or always available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Questionly after that means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, except where your local law gives you rights that can't be waived.
